Willy Thiele

Willy Thiele was born in Lindenberg, Germany in 1935; he was the youngest of 3 children.

After his schooling he entered an apprenticeship in his home town, where he learned the trade of letter pressman.

At the age of 18, he came with his best friend to the United States and settled in New Rochelle, NY. where he was lucky to be able to work in his trade.

After a few years he was drafted to serve in the US Army.

During a visit to his homeland, he met the love of his life and after 2 years of long distance romance, they got married and began their life together in New Rochelle, NY.

Willy was an extremely hardworking man; he was always dependable, honest, kind and willing to give a helping hand
to anyone.

He enjoyed his work; his goal was "To make a difference".

Willy will be missed by his wife of 54 years, his loving daughter, his son-in-law and the grandsons, he was so proud of.

He will be forever in our hearts.
