Thomas David Kenny of New Rochelle, New York, passed away on September 29, 2022. He was 92 years old. Born in New York, NY to John and Helen Kenny, Thomas was one of four children. He joined the army when he was sixteen years old in 1946. After being honorably discharged he then joined the United States Marine Corp where he served as an active-duty Marine during the Korean war. Following his time in the Marine Corp he joined the Army National Guard. Thomas was proud of the time he spent serving his country.
Thomas started dating the love of his life, Dorothy Quinn, after the two met in 1952, when Thomas’s mother asked him to chaperone a party his sister was having. Five years later Dorothy and Thomas married in 1957 and were blessed with four wonderful children: Mary Ellen, Tara, Brenna, and Sean.
Thomas will be remembered as honorable, loving, caring, and family oriented. He loved his family and would do anything for them. He was and will always be his family’s superhero.
Thomas is survived by his Daughters; Mary Ellen (Matteo), Tara (Tom), Brenna (Gary), and son; Sean (Marianne) his twelve beloved grandchildren; Michael, Natalia, Marie Elena, Catherine, Eliza, Danny (Dana), Jason (Lindsie), Rory, Liam, Seamus, Sineid and six great grandchildren; Callen, Bowie, Payton, Paxson, Madison and Grace. He is also survived by his sister Eileen. Thomas will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Thomas is predeceased by his beloved wife; Dorothy, his grandson; Bryan, his parents; John and Helen and Sisters; Jane and Kathleen.
A Celebration of Thomas's Life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Tuesday, October 4th from 3:00-7:00 pm. Entombment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Park located at 101 Mill St, Putnam Valley, NY on Wednesday, October 5th at 11:00 am.
