Stephen Giordano of New Rochelle, New York passed away on March 21st 2022. He was 64 years old. Born in Mount Vernon, New York to Anthony and Frances Giordano, Stephen was the oldest of 2 children. He was raised in New Rochelle where he graduated from New Rochelle High School in the Class of 1975. Stephen played hockey while attending New Rochelle High School, a love that he passed down to his son.
After graduating high school, Stephen would go to work in the Family Business “Pelham Lumber” with his grandfather, father, uncle and cousin. He would eventually become co-owner with his cousin Michael. Stephen would own and operate Pelham Lumber until he retired in 2011.
In his spare time Stephen loved to fish, build race cars and became an important part of the Lagana drag racing family where he spent many years on the track as master of all trade’s. Drag Race cars were his passion. If he wasn’t working or spending time with his family you could definitely find him on the track.
Stephen will be remembered as the life of the party, hilarious and generous. He was loved by everyone and had many friends outside his close family. He leaves behind his daughter Gillian (Joseph) Roshinko and his son Nicholas.
He is also survived by his mother Frances Giordano, his sister Brenda Giordano, his former wife Nanette and his cousin Michael who was more like a brother. Stephen will be missed by everyone who knew him. He is predeceased by his father Anthony.
A celebration of Stephens life will take place at the Pelham Funeral home located at 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham New York on Friday March 25th from 4-8PM. Interment will be private. For more information or to leave a condolence please visit www.pelhamfuneral.com.
