Rose (Pellicci) Carideo, 66, suddenly on February 22, 2012. Rose was a lifelong Pelham resident and parishioner of St. Catharine's Church. She is survived by her loving husband August J. Carideo, her son August (Maria) Carideo of New Rochelle and daughter Marianne Carideo of Pelham, four grandchildren Sandra Popolizio, Lauren (Mike) Tax, AJ, and Lea Rose of New Rochelle; many cousins, god-children, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and 'adopted daughters.' Rose was predeceased by brothers, Jack, John, Joseph, Anthony, Albert and sisters, Mary & Angelina Pellicci, Yolanda Carideo, and Mafalda DeVito.
Rose was a loving, sincere, evercaring woman who always put everyone's needs before her own and who's door was always open. Rose was a long-standing member of the Pelham Senior Citizens.
Visiting hours will be held Sat. & Sun. 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham NY. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Feb. 27 at 10:00 am at St. Catharine's Church, 25 Second Ave, Pelham NY. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Catharine's Church, the Wounded Warrior Program or your favorite charity.
