Rita Lewis

Rita Lewis of Pelham Manor passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She moved to New York in the 1960s, and lived in various parts of the U.S. and abroad.

Mrs. Lewis was a hard worker and worked in many areas in finance and government. She loved spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling around the U.S. and abroad.

Mrs. Lewis will be remembered by many as a loving, independent person who loved family, learning and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her husband, John; her three children: John, Frank and Jacqueline; Frank's wife, Jennifer; her grandchildren: Frank Christopher, Janne and Alexandra; her sister, Pamela; her nieces: Prisca and Anna, and her nephew Jonas.

A Life Celebration will be held Thursday, July 24 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Pelham Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at the Church of St. Catharine's in Pelham, NY; Friday, July 25th at 10 am. Interment will be at Ferncliff Crematory.
