Regina M. Hartman, of Pelham Manor, NY (formerly Regina Pinto) passed away December 10, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Regina was born April 4, 1959 to Ripalta Pinto and John Pinto, longtime Pelham residents.

Regina, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, was a bundle of energy, determination and compassion. She received her BA from Iona College, RN from Cochran school of Nursing, MBA at Iona College, and law degree, JD, at CUNY School of law. She worked as a nurse at NY and White Plains Hospitals and for the past fifteen years found her professional home at the Visiting Nurse Services of Westchester, dedicated to saving and improving the lives of others. In addition she took up the cause of abandoned and impounded dogs and was directly responsible for many last minute rescues.

She is survived by husband, William Hartman, mother, Ripalta Pinto, sisters Ann Marie LaBarbera (Sam Pampa), Julie Pinto Dworkin(Neil Dworkin), Joan Porcell Streisand (Robert Streisand) and brother John Pinto(Kari Pinto) also by niece and best friend Kristen Porcell, nieces Lisa LaBarbera, Janine Porcell, and nephews Sean Pinto, Brendan Pinto and Christopher LaBarbera. Her beloved dogs, Atticus and Mandi, will miss her presence.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 12 at The Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held 10 AM Friday morning, Dec 13, at The Pelham Funeral Home.
