Patrick John Rosato

Patrick John Rosato of Pelham Manor, formally of the Bronx, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25th. He was 87 years old. Patrick was born in Mount Vernon Hospital the oldest of three children to Salvatore and Lucy Rosato. After high school he would eventually launch an auto body shop then spend most of his working life as an independent truck driver. Patrick loved to dance and when he won dance lessons from Arthur Murray Studios, he had no idea that he would also win the heart of his dance instructor, Shelby Barfield, who was the love of his life and wife of over 40 years before her death in 2006. Patrick was a hard workingman, who valued family above all things.
His four loving children, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren will dearly miss Patrick.
A Celebration of Patrick's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, June 28th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 559 Pelham Manor Road, Pelham Manor, at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 29th.
