Patricia Scott

April 18, 1928 — November 1, 2023

Pelham Manor, NY

We deeply mourn the loss of Patricia Scott, a remarkable individual whose life was filled with immense accomplishments and a spirit that touched the hearts of all those around her. Born on April 18, 1928, in the vibrant city of New York, Patricia grew up in an environment that instilled values of determination and perseverance.

Patricia's pursuit of education led her to attend New York City Schools, where she developed a thirst for knowledge that would fuel her throughout her life. With unwavering dedication, she carved out a path for herself in the world of real estate, working for numerous esteemed firms and eventually establishing her own successful real estate firm. Patricia's career was marked by her impeccable professionalism and expertise, qualities that earned her respect within the industry.

Prior to becoming a real estate broker, Patricia was the Welcome Wagon lady in Pelham. She started the Newcomers Club which helped many new Pelham families meet other families and make new friends.

As a matriarch, Patricia nurtured and guided her family with unwavering love and support. Her role extended beyond being a wife to the late C. Joseph Scott and mother to Sheri, Valeri, Darien, and Chrisjana; she became their guiding light—an unwavering source of strength through life's trials and triumphs. Patricia's love encompassed not only her children but also extended unconditionally to her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Beyond her professional achievements and familial devotion, Patricia possessed a wondrous sense of humor that never failed to illuminate any room she entered. Her infectious laughter and quick wit brought joy to all who had the privilege to know her. Patricia was a woman whose radiant smile could light up the darkest corners and whose presence was enough to uplift spirits in times of adversity.

Outside of work and family, Patricia nurtured several hobbies and passions that enriched her life. An avid skier from early on, she embraced the slopes with immense enthusiasm until she turned 90—a testament to her adventurous spirit and zest for life. In addition to skiing, she found solace in activities such as swimming, kayaking, golfing, painting, and playing bridge. Patricia's love for these endeavors was a reflection of her vibrant and explorative nature.

On November 1, 2023, Patricia Scott departed from this realm, leaving behind a legacy that will endure through the memories she created and the lives she touched. Her passing occurred in Pelham Manor, New York, her beloved home in the later years of her life.

A memorial service to honor Patricia's life will be held on November 12, 2023, at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham, NY 10803. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM. It is an occasion where we will come together to reminisce about the cherished moments shared with Patricia and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.

In addition to her immediate family members, Patricia is survived by her Nieces Deborah Butler; along with Fern and Jamie Butler—nieces who shared a special bond with her. Their hearts ache alongside those of Sheri Scott, Valeri Kanust, Darien Lamb, Chrisjana Acheson, and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
