Patricia Ann Dumser of Mount Vernon New York, passed away on March 5th. She was _95_ years old. Born in Mount Vernon, NY to the late Eugene and Mary Catherine Malone, Patricia was one of three children. She graduated from Christopher Columbus High School.and would later meet the love of her life, Sebastian Dumser, in 1946. They got married at St. Claire's Church in the Bronx and were together for 55 years. The couple moved from the Bronx to Mount Vernon where they raised their five children: Catherine, Patricia, James, Margaret, and Susan.
Patricia worked as a supervisor for the Franciscan Mission Associates in Mount Vernon for over 25 years. She loved working as a Girl scout leader,. listening to Frank Sinatra and Irish music and eating dark chocolates. Sebastian and Patricia were snowbirds for a few years and would travel to Ft. Pierce, Florida to their winter home.They always made sure family came first and enjoyed spending time surrounded by family and friends.
Patricia will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wonderful friend. She was loving, generous, fun, and kind. Patricia made sure those around her felt loved by her. She will be dearly missed; however, her family finds comfort in the many treasured memories she leaves behind.
Patricia is survived by her children; Catherine (Bill) Lawlor, James (Debbie) Dumser Sr., Margaret Dumser and Susan Dumser. She will be missed by her twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years; Sebastian Dumser, her daughter; Patricia Amann, and her siblings; Eugene Malone Jr., and Mary O’Toole.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham NY on _March 10th _ from 3-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Catharine’s Church located at 25 Second Ave., Pelham NY. on _March 11th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
