Ottavio Clarizio

Ottavio Vito Clarizio of Ossining, and formerly of New Rochelle, NY, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at Westchester Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old.

Born in Manhattan, NY, to Vito and Maria Clarizio, Ottavio was one of three siblings.

Ottavio graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1974. Within the walls of that school, he met his future wife, JoAnn. They were married in 1978 at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle, NY, beginning a loving partnership that would span decades.

Ottavio and JoAnn were blessed with two daughters, Jennifer and Laura. His girls were his pride and joy, and he loved them fiercely and unconditionally.

Ottavio owned and operated his own print shop in New Jersey for many years and took great pride in his craft as a printer. He later continued his career with Allied Printing in New Jersey.

His true joy in life came with the birth of his grandchildren. As their one and only “PopPop,” he doted on them endlessly. They were his world, just as he was theirs.

Ottavio will be remembered as a warm and social man who loved hosting barbecues, taking trips to the casinos, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching the Yankees, swimming, and going to the gym. If you were ever in need of help, Ottavio would be the first one there.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer (Dave) Kalaminsky and Laura Clarizio; his cherished grandchildren, Hudson and Alessa; his sister, Constance (John) Racanelli; and many nieces and nephews.

Ottavio was predeceased by his beloved wife, JoAnn, and his sister, Gina Clarizio.

A Celebration of Ottavio's life will be held on Tuesday February 24, 2026, between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm at Pelham Funeral Home, located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham NY 10803. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 , at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Holy Family, 83 Clove Rd, New Rochelle NY 10801. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers,  a memorial donation in Ottavio’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
