White Plains

Oneall Eucline Parris of White Plains, New York, passed away on August 5, 2026. He was 78 years old. Born in Christ Church, Barbados to Beresford and Ivy Parris, he was the youngest of seven children. Oneall attended Boys' Foundation School and Harrison College in Barbados, and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Yale University. He later obtained his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and his master’s degree from Columbia University School of Public Health.

Oneall met Linda, his wife of 52 years, through a mutual church friend. The couple married in New York City and later moved to Mount Vernon, New York, where they raised their three children, Colette, Justin, and Marc Alexander.

For over four decades, Oneall worked as a pediatrician in Long Island, where he was beloved by colleagues and patients alike. He loved spending time with family and his countless friends. Oneall also dedicated innumerable hours to various humanitarian projects. He was a devout Christian who enjoyed fellowship meetings and Bible study.

Oneall was a consummate problem solver, an avid traveler, an ice cream aficionado, an infectious smiler, a lover of arcane words, and a king among men. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin, and as a steadfast friend. He will be dearly missed, but his family finds comfort in the many treasured memories he leaves behind.

Oneall is survived by his wife Linda, his daughter Colette (Ezzard), and his sons Justin (Jessica) and Marc Alexander (Arielle). He will be missed by his three grandchildren, Justin Jr., Jaden, and Lily. He will also be mourned by his siblings Velma Forde, Joan Taylor (Sam), Trevor Parris (Ruth), and Mavis Layne, as well as many other relatives, including but not limited to Sandra Bryan Vincent, Cheryl Greenidge, Prudence Layne, Janelle Taylor, Kira Parris-Moore, Astra Parris, and Roslyn Warner. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Joyce Bryan, and his brother Ronald Parris.
