Niall King of Yonkers, New York, formerly of Co Kerry, Ireland passed away on September 11th 2021. He was 45 years old. Born in Ballybunion, Co Kerry, Niall was the youngest of four children. He attended Rahavanig National school before moving to the United States with his father at the age of seven. Niall lived his early life in Woodlawn while attending The Windward School before moving to Hasting’s where he attended Hastings-on-Hudson High School.
After graduating high school Niall would pursue a career in the hospitality business; starting as a bar tender and working his way up to Food and Beverage Manager. Niall worked at The Palace on Madison Avenue, The Ritz Carlton in White plains and most recently the Marriott Hotel in Park Ridge, New Jersey. One of his career highlights was when he was selected to train at The Palace Hotel headquarters in South Korea.
In his spare time Niall loved to go to Florida, spend time at the Beach, eat out and most of all spend time with his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his sister’s dog and watching American Football.
Niall will be remembered as a kind and patient family guy, very easy going, laid back and down to earth. He would do anything for anybody and was always trying to help those in need.
Niall is survived by his father Joe King, his sister’s Anne King Traynor and Niamh (Alan) King McInerney. He will be missed by his stepbrother; Connor, his nieces and nephews; Courtney, Ryan, Grainne and Ciara Traynor as well as Olan & Caoimhne McInerney. Niall will be missed by everyone who knew him. He is predeceased by his mother Juliann and his brother Michael King.
A celebration of Nialls life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Thursday September 16th from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Barnabas Church located at 4343 Martha Avenue, Bronx, New York on Friday September 17th at 9:30 Interment will be private.
