Maryrose Massaro (76), born and raised in the Castle Hill and Morris Park sections of The Bronx, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.
She lived a quiet life deeply rooted in her family and simply enjoyed being around those she loved. She enjoyed music and dancing and always welcomed an opportunity for celebration and going out to dinner. Maryrose appreciated sharing a good meal around a table with family and friends and loved talking to everyone, genuinely interested in learning more about them. She had a great memory, keen eye for new fashions and was a lifetime General Hospital fan. She will always be known for her kindness, sweet smile, exuberant laugh and good heart. She loved unconditionally.
A longtime resident of Pelham Manor, she is survived by her sister-in-law Frances, three nieces, Denise (Alex), Aimee (Frank), and Dominique (John) and four great nieces and nephews, Gianna, Laila, Nicholas and John Dominic. Maryrose will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those blessed to have known her. She is predeceased by her parents, Pasqualina and Emilio Massaro and brother Dominic R. Massaro.
A celebration of Maryrose's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, located at 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham NY 10803 on Sunday, June 1, 2025 between the hours of 300 pm and 6:00pm.
