Lucy R. Lico, 81
Lucy R. Lico, a former resident of Pelham for over 35 years, died on May 20, 2012 at Mercy Hospital of South Buffalo. She was 81 years old. Mrs. Lico was born in Bronx, New York on March 9, 1931 and was the wife of Dr. Serrie R. Lico who predeceased her in 1981.

Mrs. Lico graduated from New York University and later received a Masters in Education from Manhattanville College. She traveled the world as a chief stewardess for the former Pan American Airways before she married and settled in Pelham to raise her children. Mrs. Lico's varied accomplishments pale in comparison to the tremendous amount of pride she had in her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Lico is survived by her son, Dr. Serrie C. Lico (daughter-in-law Jennifer), and her daughter, Valerie A. Price, Esq. (son-in-law Richard), and her grandchildren Mackenzie, Anthony, Nicholas and Capri.

A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham on Thursday, May 24th at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale. Memorial donations may be made on Mrs. Lico's behalf toward the expenses of her friend's daughter who suffers from severe cerebral palsy, mental retardation and spastic quadriplegia and for whom Mrs. Lico served as a fierce advocate in the fashion that only she could do. Donations may be made to this Lucy R. Lico Memorial Fund at youcaring.com.
