Louis G. Raffio Sr., 93, of Palm Coast, FL. passed away peacefully at his home on June 5, 2018. He was born in New Rochelle, NY on July 29, 1924, to Emilio and Carmella Raffio. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country during World War II.
Lou retired after 31 years as a Firefighter in Pelham, NY. Known to all in Pelham as Sr., he moved to the Palm Coast area in 1994 from New York.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a friend to everyone. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Una D. Raffio; two sons with (Theresa Raffio), Louis Raffio, Jr. of New Rochelle, and Kenneth (Mayra) Raffio of Pelham; a daughter, Christine (DeWitt) Sullivan of Briarcliff Manor; and his grandchildren, Chiara, Kyle and Colin Raffio, Callie, Ryan, Jack and Ellie Sullivan. He was preceeded in death by his four brothers Leo, Alexander, Dominick and Alfred Raffio, as well as his granddaughter Grace Sullivan.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 18, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pelham Funeral Home (64 Lincoln Avenue Pelham, NY 10803).
Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, June 19, at 10:00 AM at St. Catharine's Church (25 Second Avenue Pelham, NY 10803).
