Lawrence Benson Jones

April 1, 1952 — May 5, 2021

Lawrence Benson Jones, "Larry," was born in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Daniel Raymond Jones and Jeanne Benson. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a degree in math and economics, and then received his MBA in finance from the University of Chicago. Larry spent much of his career working for Unilever companies, including Lever Brothers, Chesebrough-Ponds, and Elizabeth Arden. He then worked for David Yurman Enterprises, retiring as Vice President of Finance.
In his retirement, Larry enjoyed playing golf, reading, and watching sports. He recently became an avid walker, enjoying daily walks around the city of White Plains. Larry was a devoted husband of 34 years and a wonderful father. He had a dry sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Larry celebrated and enjoyed each day, and he was particularly thrilled about the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series in 2016.
Larry is predeceased by his parents and his brother Todd. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, his son Andrew, a son from a previous marriage, Matthew, as well as his brother Dan, sister-in-law Maggie, sister-in-law Patricia, and stepmother, Betty.

The family is grateful for all the love and support they have received.
