Trainor, John B. Jr. of Pelham Manor passed away June 6, 2014 at age 73 years.
John was born in Manhattan and went to high school at St. Helena's in the Bronx before graduating with a Bachelors Degree at Wheeling Jesuit College in West Virginia. He is predeceased by his wife, Anita. John and Anita met on a boat ride around Manhattan and then married in 1972. He was blessed with three wonderful daughters, Stacey and her husband Glenn, Sandra and her husband Paul, and AnneMarie and her husband Matt. John was a loving grandfather to eight grandchildren, Charles, Colin, Christopher, Courtney, Paul, Peter, Jackson and Patrick.
John retired as Executive Vice President of Helmsley Spear in 2006 where he reported directly to Leona and Harry Helmsley.
Calling hours will be on Monday, June 9th at the Pelham Funeral Home from 12 - 2 pm and 4 - 8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham Manor, NY on Tuesday, June 10 at 12:45 pm. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
