Jo Ann Margaret Librett

Jo-Ann Margaret Librett passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. She was 64 years old. Jo-Ann was born on July 17, 1957 to the late Stephen Lensky and Lillian McKeese in Brooklyn, NY as one of four children, and moved to Pelham, NY with her family while she was young.

Jo-Ann graduated from St. Gabriel’s High School and received her undergraduate degree from the College of New Rochelle and a Master of Science in Business Management degree from Albertus Magnus College. Jo-Ann had a long career in many fields with her longest tenure being in the railroad industry, working for Bombardier Transportation and most recently for Metro North Railroad as part of the MTA for 16 years. Jo-Ann was proud of her accomplishments at work and the deep relationships she developed with her colleagues.

Jo-Ann is survived by her son, Michael, her daughter-in-law Annie, longtime friends Aram and Rosie, her two sisters and many nieces and nephews. Jo-Ann is pre-deceased by her sister Linda Tiso. In 1987, Jo-Ann married Steven Librett who she remained close with until her passing.

Jo-Ann lived a fulfilled and present life, always in the moment, and was an extremely caring, loving, and selfless person. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed home improvement projects, cooking, traveling, and reading. Those who knew Jo-Ann would describe her as a warrior who could achieve anything and a positive, smiling person who brought energy and was always the life of the party. She will be dearly missed.

Jo-Ann's family is holding a private memorial at their home on June 17th for close friends and family to celebrate Jo-Ann's extraordinary life.
