Ellen T. Esser

Ellen Flynn Esser, aged 94, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in NYC on July 19, 1931, Ellen lived a long and meaningful life marked by resilience, devotion, and deep love for her family.

She was married to the late Bernard Esser and was a devoted mother to her four children. A working mother at a time when it was not easy, Ellen balanced her career with raising her family, instilling in her children the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion.

Ellen was cherished as a grandmother and great-grandmother, roles she treasured most in her later years. She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the unwavering support she gave to her family across generations.

Her legacy of love and dedication lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry her spirit forward.

A celebration of Ellen's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home, located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham N.Y., on Friday October 3, 2025, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, located at 409 E 241st St, Bronx NY 10470 on Saturday October 4, 2025, at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Raymond Cemetery.
