Elizabeth “Connie” Boccagna of New York passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. She was 95 years old.

Connie was born in New York to Elizabeth and George Ewald and was one of two children. She graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx. It was later in life that she met the love of her life, Angelo. The couple married and made their home on City Island, where they lovingly raised their two children, Jimmy and Karen.

Connie worked for Macy’s in the Bronx as a retail associate. She was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, watching football, traveling with her friends, and enjoying the excitement of the casinos.

Above all, Connie was a caring and devoted woman whose greatest joy came from her family and the people she held close to her heart. A devoted Catholic, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be remembered for her warmth, loyalty, and love.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Karen Valentino; her grandchildren, Anthony Valentino and his wife, Julianna, and Amanda Daza and her husband, Justin; and her great-grandchildren, Gino Valentino and Carmine Valentino.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo Boccagna; her son, James Boccagna; and her son-in-law, Anthony Valentino.

Connie leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
