Eleanor O Miller, 96 of Pelham Manor, formerly of Wantagh, NY passed away peacefully on July 8th 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, grace, and cherished memories. She touched the lives of many through her warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Eleanor attended Holy Family School, where she received a faith-based education that remained an important part of her life.
Eleanor shared a loving marriage with her husband, Emil Miller. They were married at Holy Family Church in Brooklyn, and shortly after their marriage, moved to Wantagh, Long Island, where they built their life together rooted in faith, family, and devotion.
Together, they created a family filled with love, strong values, and lasting memories.
Eleanor had a lifelong passion for fashion and style. Early in her career, she worked for a fashion magazine, combining her appreciation for elegance and design with work she truly enjoyed. Later, she devoted herself to being a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She also selflessly cared for her late mother, father, mother-in-law and husband, giving them loving support with remarkable patience, compassion, and devotion.
Eleanor was especially known for her personality—she was funny, opinionated, deeply loving toward her family, and unfailingly kind. She carried herself with a natural grace and an “aristocratic” presence that others often noticed, yet she remained warm, approachable, and full of heart.
She also appreciated life's simple pleasures. Eleanor loved German food, especially sharing hearty meals with family and friends, and she enjoyed a good glass of Riesling. She found happiness in gathering around the table and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.
A lover of classic films and television, Eleanor especially enjoyed watching Downton Abbey, Gone with the Wind, and How Green Was My Valley.
Eleanor is lovingly remembered as a beloved aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt and friend by all her family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil, other loved ones, and her family takes comfort in the legacy of love she leaves behind.
