Elaine Bruzzese

Elaine Bruzzese of New Rochelle, NY passed away on June 23, 2021. She was 67 years old. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Maurice and Helen Schachter Zwang. Elaine was one of four children. During her 20's she met her soul mate Dominic Bruzzese. The couple met through a mutual friend and as they say the rest is history. Elaine and Dominic would marry in Brooklyn and were blessed with two wonderful children.
In Dominic's words…" To know Elaine is to love her". She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help a friend in need. Elaine was the matriarch of her family. Elaine enjoyed traveling especially to Israel. When she was not traveling, she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking/baking for friends. You would also see Elaine at the New York Athletic Club or the Pelham Country Club.
Elaine will be remembered as compassionate, generous, loving, and devoted. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 45 years Dominic Bruzzese, her two children; Deana (Luigi) Andriani and Vincent (Christie) Bruzzese, she will be missed by her four grandchildren; Valentina Grace, Victoria Rose, Dominic Vincent, and Robert Vincent. She will also be missed by her sisters Diane, Larraine and her brother Michael, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends. Elaine will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A Celebration of Elaine's Life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Sunday June 27th from 1:00-6:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Pine Lawn Cemetery located at 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY on Monday June 28th at 11:30 am.
