After graduation, Eileen met her husband of 54 years, Allan Lundberg, also from the Gun Hill Road neighborhood. They married at Holy Rosary Church and settled in Pelham Gardens, Bronx, where they were blessed with three children: Lynn, Sue, and Allan Jr. Eileen was deeply devoted to her family, always caring for her aunt, whom she considered her mother, while being a dedicated member of her church community.
Eileen was an active member of the Holy Rosary PTA and cherished her role as a churchgoer. She was known for her warm hospitality, often hosting friends and family gatherings at her home where she delighted in cooking for her loved ones.
In her later years, Eileen remained vibrant and involved in various senior groups. She organized bus trips to Atlantic City and was a member of both the local AARP senior group and the Holy Rosary senior group. Eileen will be fondly remembered as a petite, caring woman who was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
She is survived by her three children: Lynn (Nick) Stanziani, Sue (Dom) Ciaccia and Allan (Liz) Lundberg, along with her eight grandchildren Nicholas (Heather) Stanziani, Vincent (Christina) Stanziani, Domenick (Jess) Stanziani, Jackie (Chris) Henschel, Stefanie (Stephen) Veneruso, Jess Ciaccia, Andrew Lundberg and James Lundberg and five great-grandchildren Nicholas, Nico, Sofia, JJ and Frankie. Eileen is also survived by her sister Theresa Brosnan. She is predeceased by her husband Allan Sr., her sister Mary Schwabe and her brother Walter Burke. Eileen’s legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
