Edward C. Pian of White Plains, New York passed away on July 27th 2021. He was 73 years old. Born in Astoria, Queens to Ettore and Frances Pian. Edward was the youngest of three children. Edward was raised in the Bronx where he attended PS 87, John Philip Souza and Salesian High School. After he graduated High School Edward went to learn his trade as a baker. He worked for various bakeries before opening his own bakery (E & L Bakery) in the Bronx.
In 1968 Edward would marry his high school sweetheart Linda Silano at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mount Vernon. The couple lived in Yonkers where they raised their two children JoAnn and Eddie before eventually moving to White Plains. In his free time Edward loved to play cards or go boating on the sound with his family. Ed made some great memories traveling with his family to the Caribbean and spending Sundays on the boat. He referred to his five grandchildren as “My Magnificent Five." Family was everything to Edward.
Ed will be remembered as strong minded, hardworking, loving and family oriented. He adored his wife and family. He especially adored his grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda, his children JoAnn (Michael) Burkoff and Eddie (Elisa) Pian. He will be missed by his magnificent 5 grandchildren; Nicolette, Edward, Brianna, Bianca and Tyler. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Eugene (JoAnne) and William (Colette) and his best friends Dennis & Tina Campo. Edward will be missed by everyone who knew him. Edward is pre-deceased by his parents Ettore S. Pian and Frances Stallone.
A Celebration of Edwards life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Sunday August 1st from 2-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 575 Fowler Avenue, Pelham Manor, New York on Monday August 2nd at 10:00 am.
