Edith Manna passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the age of 90 at Hudson Valley Hospital. Edith was a longtime resident of Pelham, NY. She was born in New Rochelle, NY, August 14, 1921 to the late Antonio and Julia(Aiello) Cioffoletti. Edith married Carmine Manna on March 14, 1943. Carmine predeceased her in 1985.
She was a parishoner of St. Catharine's Church and was a member of the Lady's Guild and also a member of the Pelham Senior Citizens. Edith was employed for many years as a dental assistant. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family.
She is survived by her son, Gennaro A. Manna and wife Susan and daughter, Theresa A. deLuca and husband Frank. Also, five grandchilren, Gina Veschi (Michael), Denise deLuca, Andrea deLuca, Cheryl Manna and Gennaro A. Manna Jr. and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Veschi and Stephen Veschi. She is survived by her sister, Carmella Mazzullo and brother, Anthony Cioffoletti Jr. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Nardone and Angela Salerno.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Pelham Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Catharine's Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
