Donna DelPonte of Pelham Manor, New York, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026. She was 57 years old.
Donna was born in the Bronx, New York, and was one of three children. She attended St. Benedict’s Grammar School, Cardinal Spellman High School, and later graduated from Iona College.
Donna met her childhood sweetheart of 40 years, Frank DelPonte, at age 17. They would fall in love and later marry in February of 1993. The couple made their home in Pelham Manor, where they raised their two children, Larissa and Frankie.
Donna was a hardworking and dedicated professional who took great pride in everything she did. She first worked for Foote, Cone & Belding Advertising in New York City, and later managed the 99 Cent Superstore & More in the Bronx, while always serving as the bookkeeper for K.O. No matter how busy Donna was, her family always came first.
Donna cherished the time she spent with the people she loved. It was Donna’s vibrant personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile that could light up any room. Friends and family often remarked that to know her was to love her; she had an extraordinary gift for touching the lives of others. Donna faced life with unwavering positivity, never complaining, and her warmth and kindness were felt by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
Donna was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sister, and wonderful friend. Though her time with us was far too short, it was incredibly well spent, filled with love, laughter, and an unforgettable energy.
Donna is survived by her husband, Frank DelPonte, her children Larissa (Robbie) Nanna and Frank DelPonte, and her siblings Deron Cirillo and Karen Tiso.
A celebration of Donna's life will take place at Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY, on Thursday, August 13, between the hours of 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
