Daniel Callahan

Daniel Callahan, 77, of Piermont, NY, passed away on August 15, 2024. 

He was a devoted father, grandfather, Peace Corps volunteer, and held lead roles at the NYS Commission for the Blind and Lighthouse Guild. He was a valued Trustee of the Lavelle Fund for the Blind, a global grantmaking foundation, and board chair from 2007 to 2021. 

He is survived by his daughter Deirdre, son-in-law Vincent McManus, and grandchildren Donovan, Dylan, and Darragh. All who knew him will cherish the memory of his kindness and humanitarianism.

A Celebration on Daniel's life will be held on Friday September 13, 2024 between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Pelham Funeral Home, located at 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham NY 10803. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Union Church of Pocantico Hills, located at 555 Bedford Rd, Tarrytown NY 10591
