Annette Clyde Booth

Annette Clyde Booth, a lifelong resident of Pelham, New York passed away on July 5th, 2023. She was 84 years old. Born in New Rochelle, New York to Leonard and Nicoletta Giustino. Annette was the eldest of four children. She was raised in Pelham where she attended Hutchinson Elementary School and Pelham Memorial High School. It was during her high school years she would meet her sweetheart, John Clyde. They got married when she was 19 years old and lived at 126 Sixth Street in Pelham New York. Annette and John (also known as Jack) would raise their son John (Jack). Unfortunately, tragedy would strike Annette at a young age resulting in the loss of her husband Jack while carrying her daughter Lynne. Instead of giving up, Annette decided to work as a crossing guard and later a school bus driver to provide for and support her children.

Annette loved to read and crochet in her spare time. She enjoyed romance novels, love stories and Daniel Steele novels. She vacationed every year in Cape Cod and enjoyed swimming in the Nantucket Sound. She was a great cook, loved to bake and was known for making the best homemade manicotti.

In 1982 Annette would marry Ralph Booth. They were married in their home by Judge Daronco.  The yearly Cape Cod vacation tradition continued and among other things Ralph added fishing and bingo into her life.

Annette will be remembered as a strong, passionate, loving women. She was always there for her family. She also enjoyed volunteering and being at every after-school activity. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Annette is survived by her children John (Susan) Clyde, Lynne (Frank) Romano, her grandchildren; Christopher (Maria) Clyde, Matthew (Kelly) Clyde, Jahna Romano and Cal Romano and her great grandchildren; Francesca and Arianna Clyde.

A memorial mass for Annette will be held at St. Catharine’s Church located at 25 Second Avenue, Pelham New York on Saturday July 22nd at 10:00 am. For more information or to leave a condolence please visit www.pelhamfuneral.com.
