Alexander Minella

Alexander Minella, 89, of Pelham Manor, New York, died on December 22, 2017 at Calvary Hospital. Alexander was born in New York City on November 13, 1928 to Alice and Luigi Minella. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Anthony and sister, Joann. He received his undergraduate degree from NYU and graduated with a juris doctor law degree from St. John's University. He served in the US Army in Germany from 1953-1955. After the Army, he practiced real estate law in Bronx, NY for more than 55 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Arlene, daughter Lisa Scagnelli (John), daughter Donna Cardillo (Fred), son Alexander (Lynn), son Keith (Melanie), daughter Tara Rama (Ray), son Wesly (Lori), daughter Krisha Nyborg (Chip) and daughter Audra Mendes. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Alexander was a member of Huguenot Yacht Club for more than 40 years and a member of the Bronx Bar Association. He was a man of hard work and integrity with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be carried in his family's hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at Huguenot Memorial Church, Pelhamdale Ave., Pelham Manor, NY on Saturday, December 30th at 11 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations to Huguenot Memorial Church in Pelham and Calvary Hospital in the Bronx.
