Albert Edward Booth II

Albert Edward Booth II, born on October 19th, 1942 in Worcester MA, died peacefully on November 9th, 2025. Albie, as he was affectionately known, was currently living with his daughter, Anne Booth, in Rye Brook NY. He had spent the previous forty years living in Far Hills, NJ with his wife Carolyn Booth.

Albie attended Northfield Mount Hermon School graduating in 1960. He then went on to Brown University where he ran track and majored in economics. Albie enlisted in the Airforce in 1964. While stationed at Norton Air Force Base he met his wife Carolyn. After six months of dating Albie proposed to Carolyn and they were married on January 29th, 1966.

Albie and Carolyn moved to Cambridge, MA in 1968 where Albie attended Harvard Business School. Albie had an illustrious career in commercial real estate and then really hit his stride as a financial advisor for the last twenty years of his career.

But really Albie was his happiest in nature. He had an unquenchable thirst for adventure and the outdoors. As a boy, his family enjoyed camping, hiking and exploring. He hiked Mount Washington, the Grand Tetons, and other mountains with his father and older brother, Robert. In high school, he discovered skiing and was immediately hooked. He skied every mountain in the northeast.

Upon graduating from Brown University, Albie’s mother offered him a trip to Europe, but he chose to hitchhike across Canada and the U.S, instead. He was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club for 60 years and enjoyed hiking the “AT” in Maine with friends and his daughter, Anne. In later years, he went on canoe trips in Northern Maine and Canada.

Albie was a true family man. He invested in his two daughters and always made time to be with them whether it was a new adventure or simply being home for dinner and bedtime. His generous spirit, quick wit and gregarious nature radiated beyond his family to many deep and meaningful friendships. If you were one among Albie’s friends you would always be included in his next adventure and you were sure to have a grand time. He was a loyal man and deeply cherished his friendships.

Albie leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Booth, two children, Anne Booth and Rebecca Booth and two grandchildren, Juno and Henry Chong.
